More to come!

Okay!  You now have the run from 2000-2003.  That is all the Gemuetlichkeit posters that I made.  You also have a run of Kantorei posters and some bonus nonsense that also got scanned.

Also, I found out that Rev. Jon Bakker continued the tradition and has some later Gemuetlichkeit posters.  I will post them as I am able.

Pax!

Miscellanea and Lagniappe

Like the "miscellanea" chapters in Dr. Voelz's Fundamental Greek Grammar, these don't fall into any category.  They are offered here as a bonus, or what we in Louisiana call "lagniappe."

Almy is a church-supplies company that actually puts out two versions of its catalog: one with women wearing clerical vestments, one without.

This one appeared just after a minor kerfuffle involving the use of incense at Kramer Chapel.  This was shortly after the Rev. Gerald Kieschnick's election to the LCMS presidency.  The IHOP at Fort Wayne had the same shape as Kramer.

The (now) Rev. Dr. Leroy Leach (right) and I enjoying a garage-cigar.  I thought we made good poster boys for the seminary.  Obviously, they need help getting better qualified material - at least in my case...  ;-)

C3PO is actually a Christmas tree, and Uncle Fester is the Rev. Al Wingfield.  The Rev. John Dreyer is back at the Fort as a seminary recruiter.

The (now) Rev. Ray Parent was teased for singing "The Lord be with you" in Matins even though he had not yet been ordained.  Yeah, that kind of thing is funny to a bunch of seminarians.  Really.  We were pretty sheltered...

The (now) Rev. Jon Bakker was the assistant manager of our Kantorei tour and our token Canadian.

The (now) Rev. Carl Roth (in the blue shirt) as a seminarian was the master of ceremonies for Gemuetlichkeit and always the life of the party.

Obviously, the caption is taken out of context.  We can always manage to do that with Dr. Scaer.  He has given us so much material to work with.

Greetings to all past and present Kantorei brothers!

Kantorei posters, January 2003

After returning from our tour to the West Coast (Washington State and British Columbia) in 2002-2003, the CTS Kantorei sang the traditional Choral Vespers for Epiphany at Kramer Chapel.

I thought a little promotion was in order, and posted the following adverts with pictures from our tour.

So here you go, and worth every penny that you paid for them...

This last one features Kantor Resch.  Unfortunately, the scan was in black and white.  Below the poster is the original color pic.

And as a bonus for scrolling to the end, here is a link to all the pics I took on tour.
