Bumper Stickers, Part Two

These bumper stickers (and the previous poster's) were put into a slideshow and played at the 2002 symposia banquet. What Would Pless Read? was to become a facebook group.

And people told me I was wasting my time on this silly stuff. Ha! I showed them...  ;-)

A non-Lutheran group was renting space on campus. They were shocked to learn that the seminary permitted the students to drink beer. Several letters were written to Dr. Wenthe, seminary president and Dr. Weinrich, academic dean. One writer even suggested that Martin Luther would not approve of beer-drinking by the students.

In fact, Gemuetlichkeit was always well-attended by faculty members, and it provided a wonderful forum to talk about the faith, theology, and the challenges we would all face in the holy ministry.

Some Inside and Not-So-Inside Humor

The CTS faculty actually enjoyed being the object of teasing. I would even post these posters in the common areas of the faculty office buildings.

Bibat Ille...

It seems that this is a medieval drinking song (from the book Teach Yourself Beginning Latin, now entitled Get Started in Latin).

AAL Donation

This one was actually the first one that I designed, as we were raising funds for a brother seminarian's family in conjunction with AAL.
